Our “camping reinvented” concept is something only a small holiday estate with plenty of services can achieve: a clever blend of friendliness and privacy, high-end services and simplicity, at a sensible price. Many of our guests who never thought they could enjoy a camping holiday, sometimes dragged along by their family, are surprised to find they have completely changed their minds and want to come back very soon.

Domme is ideally located for visiting most of the Dordogne’s must-see sites. Between you and me, every holiday host likes to say “we’re perfectly placed for sightseeing”, don’t they? The difference is that for Domme, it really is true.

Domme itself is a magnificent bastide town whose colossal stone gates make the headlines ahead of Périgueux, Sarlat or Bergerac during events such as the Tour de France. We are at the heart of the tourist sites, in the “Golden Triangle” of the Dordogne Valley. You can discover all the cultural and natural riches of a region with very different sites (La Roque-Gageac, Marqueyssac, Castelnaud, Beynac, Les Milandes, Lascaux, Les Eyzies, Padirac and Rocamadour). Our region is famous for its castles and charming traditional villages!

Coming to Ventoulines also means choosing a true immersion in nature to spend a stay that is both peaceful and interesting. There are magnificent panoramas all around the area. From the terrace of the aquatic area, you can admire one of the most beautiful views of Périgord Noir!

Domme, listed as one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France

The campsite is in the commune of Domme, a 13th-century bastide perched on its cliff above the Dordogne Valley. From the village, a 30-minute walk from the campsite, the view over the river is one of the finest in the Périgord. Don’t miss the golden stone lanes, the market hall and the caves dug beneath the bastide.

Sarlat and its market are 20 minutes away by car. La Roque-Gageac, the Marqueyssac gardens and Castelnaud castle are 10 minutes away, Les Eyzies and Lascaux about 40 minutes. You stay somewhere peaceful on a hillside, away from the summer crowds, yet within easy reach of all the must-sees.

A village of chalets

Our campsite is made up entirely of holiday rentals: call them chalets, gîtes, cottages, mobile homes or bungalows, it doesn’t matter. The important thing to know is that we do not offer bare pitches or pitches for motorhomes.

A home from home

These chalets and mobile homes are comfortable and fully equipped: high-end memory foam bedding, air conditioning, an electric barbecue on the terrace on request, salt, pepper, tea towel and oil in the kitchen, a cot, a bathtub, a high chair on request, and many other extras you will discover on these pages. You can be fully independent and enjoy our region from April until the end of the All Saints’ school holidays.

Friendlier than a hotel, more personal than a big campsite: our aim is for everyone to feel as if they’re staying with friends.

Les Ventoulines is an original concept of a campsite with pools: a human-scale place where kindness comes first.

Les Ventoulines is a holiday estate in Domme, in the Dordogne. It offers mobile homes and chalets for two to six people, with an outdoor pool heated in summer, a heated indoor pool, a spa and a sauna, all available every day at no extra cost.

We are open until 1 November 2026 (20 December for the Lov’nid Spa & Sauna).
The village will reopen from 1 March 2027 to 20 December 2027 for the Lov’nid, and from 1 April 2027 to 1 November 2027 for all other accommodation.

 

Group stays

From April to early July and from late August to the end of October, we welcome groups: hiking and cycling clubs, associations and family reunions. Full board or half board for up to 90 people and self-catering for up to 40, a restaurant room for your evenings, Périgord cuisine and partner tour guides. All-inclusive stays with plenty of facilities and services

 
We offer our guests a heated indoor pool (from 1 April to 1 November), an outdoor infinity pool and its paddling pool, both heated in July and August, a large spa (hot tub) and a magnificent glass-fronted sauna.
 
Our stays are all-inclusive: every service is included and available at no extra cost and without booking. The only two optional extras are end-of-stay cleaning and pets (cats or dogs only), after discussion and with our agreement. We provide bed linen, towels and a washing machine that is free to use.
 

By the way…

Les Ventoulines or Les Ventolines? Ven-tou-lines comes from “venteux”, meaning windy, because our campsite sits on a hillside, so it can be a little breezy. But don’t worry, it’s nothing annoying, quite the opposite: it keeps things pleasantly cool in the middle of summer! The campsite is just a few minutes’ drive from the river. It is neither a municipal campsite nor a farm campsite, but it has that friendliness and well-judged simplicity that make for a successful holiday.
